A True For Sale by Owner Story
We thought we were very savvy after buying, selling and building homes for
ourselves for many years. We decided to try and sell our home ourselves. We
even procured and paid for an appraisal for our home to help price it properly.
Unfortunately, an unscrupulous buyer got involved with our property and we
ended up having to hire a real estate attorney to help resolve the issue and
wasted many months in the process.
We then hired a Realtor and had her give an opinion of the proper price point to
sell our home at. The price she gave was about $150,000.00 over what we had
tried to sell our home for originally! We listed our home with her and it sold in 12
hours, for more than we had thought possible.
